Started In Bandung

PT. Inkote Indonesia is a 100% Indonesian owned company established in 1970. Its humble beginnings started in Bandung, West Java as a Metal Coatings and Metal Printing Inks producer carrying the Royal Guard trademark. The operations in Bandung lasted for a decade.

Expanding Operations

As the demand of its products were mainly located in greater Jakarta area, in 1980, it transferred its manufacturing facilities in Bekasi, eastern suburbs of Jakarta, to be able to service its customers’ needs closely. This was in consonance with the company’s objectives for its next decade of operations – Expansion of its manufacturing operations and Internationalization. The facility included a modern Research & Development laboratories and the development of new product lines.

It has been the pride of PT. Inkote Indonesia to be the market leader for its Metal Coating products for over thirty five years. Inkote operations expanded its product line to include Industrial Coatings, Water Based Flexographic Inks, Rotogravure Inks, Offset Inks and Screen Inks.

Working with World Class Principals

In the early 90’s, PT. Inkote Indonesia established PT. Perdana Inkote Chemindo to serve the increasing various industry needs by working with world class principals in distributing its products in Indonesia. Inkote is the exclusive agent & distributor of DOW Chemicals Adhesives & Specialty Chemicals for the Flexible Packaging Industry, as well as UBIS for its sealing compounds.

In the mid 90’s, Inkote has further focused to improved its products on Coil Coatings as well as for the Wood Finishing Systems considering the local market demand which indicated on the upsurge. For Coil Coatings, Inkote worked with Becker Sweden for a Technical License Agreement and for the Wood Coatings products, it cooperated with Sanyu Paints Co. Ltd. Japan under a Technical License Agreement as well. The Technical License Agreement with Becker ended in 2013.

Inkote has undertaken a License Agreement with Cashew Co., Ltd. Japan for Industrial Coatings for Plastic intended consumer electronic appliance, mobile phones and likewise for the automotive market segments.

Fullfill the Market Demand

Inkote is continuously focusing its management efforts to further enhance its Research & Development capabilities, the development of new products, and to ensure that quality products can be made available to customers at all times. PT. Inkote Indonesia has likewise prepared itself for the export market. Further to this, it continues to develop its human resources to be more responsive to the increasing need for flexibility in the industry we serve.

Finally, Inkote continues to explore possibilities for cooperation with established companies abroad for local representations and for future joint ventures. PT. Inkote Indonesia is also a licensee of Pantone Color System.
